- To provide comprehensive of heart or lung transplantation including indications and current practices at Royal Papworth Hospital
- To highlight key challenges in cardiothoracic transplantation
- To enhance understanding of the MDT management of pre- and post-transplant patient including mechanical support and long-term follow-up

- Organ Utilisation and Retrieval Service
- Surgical considerations and techniques
- Mechanical support devices: Left Ventricular Assistance Device (LVAD) and other circulatory support
- Post-transplant patient long-term management
- Patient’s perspective
Who should attend?
Nurses, allied healthcare practitioners and resident doctors – whether hospital or community based – who are involved in or have an interest in the care of patients before and after cardiothoracic transplantation or LVAD.
