DESCRIPTION:Aims:\n\nTo tease out the best treatments for the whole of the aorta in the emergency and elective setting\nTo be the first national meeting of these two specialties in the UK\n\nFriday evening dinner and debate:\nStarting at 18.30 and finishing 21.00 \n\nPre-interventional review\n\n‘Who do you think you are’ – cardiac vs vascular\n\n\n\nSessions throughout Saturday:\nStarting at 08:00 and finishing 17:00 \n\nPositioning\nSharpening the knives\nAnaesthetic induction\nIncision\nThe procedure (dissecting ETTAA)\nKeynote presentation\nProcedure reflections\nTime to close this incision\nAudit\nThe discharge home\n\n\nView the Programme\n \nLive Streamed\nThe Aortic Isthmus Symposium is the first national meeting of these two specialities in the UK. Due to the anticipated high demand to attend the event we are also offering tickets to view the event virtually via a live video stream. \nCall for Abstracts:\nAortic Isthmus Symposium’s Call for Abstracts is an opportunity to share your research with UK and international colleagues who are actively working in the field of aortic and/or vascular surgery. \nSelected Abstracts Free Entry \nAuthors of 6 accepted abstracts will be placed in the live programme within the Sharpening the Knives session and have their registration fees refunded. All presentation will be for 7 minutes followed by 3 minutes for questions.
